A Secret Review and Some Gratitude to Share

Happy day! Yesterday the site was down, as I couldn't figure out what was going wrong with my DNS servers. Today, it seems as though the issue corrected itself. YAY!

It's little things like this that I reflect on, and that I am grateful for. I am grateful that I can figure things out, with just a bit of effort when it's something new. I try to remind myself that I can do almost anything. I think most people can when they are motivated enough.

Gratitude. Interesting thing, this gratitude. From the book discussed in the last post, I thought it was fine time to find out what all the hoopla was about "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. I have downloaded the audio book (I use Audible mostly) and listen on my way to work. This was the first time I had heard anything directly of the book, I've not watched it nor read it previously. It was a little hard to get into, as the author's accent is a bit thicker than what I am used to. The instructions seem to be here, there a…

The Law of Attraction

Last week I started listening to Jen Sincero's YOU ARE A BADASS AT MAKING MONEY while I was driving to my day job. I starting thinking more and more about the Law of Attraction. I thought her book was encouraging, and was like a little crew of cheerleaders in my ear every morning. Who loves money? I love money. Money loves me. and all that good stuff. If nothing else, her book made me think. I thought about how I saw the universe and its layers of life when I was a teenager (a theory that was thought up myself - that in itself was creepy, as there was no influence from others that lead me to think that way) and how I used to escape from the world by sitting in the dark and "meditating"... back then, I was speaking to the "universe" and all things out there, asking for the things I wanted. And even though I didn't receive a car, or a winning lottery ticket, I do remember having amazing luck, and getting a lot of what …

Ahem. May I have your attention, please?

Hats off to people who do this full time.

I had no idea that starting a blog, or rather, setting up a public forum to share my thoughts and experiences, would be such a challenging event. The background changes every half hour, the font colours change, even the border colours need changing. It's too many decisions for one person!

So the first post should be some kind of introduction, right? Well, I am breaking that prototype. I want to talk about life, challenges, money, law of attraction, millennialism, minimalism, and everything inbetween. I want to hear what you think, and I want your questions. Yes, this is a thing. I want you to send me questions so that I can answer them, and we can discuss it. At least, as soon as I can figure out how to set that up.

More to come.
